Design Process

Typically, for full renovations we like to start with a design, that way everyone's on the same page. We don't always need a design for smaller projects. We'll come out and measure every square inch of your area and begin the design process.

During the design process we'll write up a proposal for all our options. Depending on our work load this can take 1-3 weeks.

Once we're done we'll show you what we've designed. This is where we can make changes as needed.

Once everybodys in agreeance we'll schedule the work to start at a time that works well for both parties. When we're done, you'll have a backyard (or front) you'll be proud of and your neighbors jelouse!

FAQ
  • *NEW 8/18/2025* Do you charge for designs?
  • My old answer would have been no. I was happy to spend the time and *possibly* get the job, but, others have ruined that for everyone else. Our design software is incredibly expensive. (more than a nice car payment every month) and people have taken advantage of this. IE: having us come out to bid a project, want a design, then take the design and do the job themselves with no intention of ever hiring us to build the project. Better yet, send it to our competitors and ask if they can build the same thing cheaper. If the company can't design the job, there's a good chance they shouldn't build it either.

  • *NEW 8/18/2025* I have sprinler heads in the job area!
  • Don't worry about it. We'll move them or cap them off. We can even turn one or two into a drip line for your new plants!

  • How much does a paver patio cost?
  • There's a lot that goes into this question. Type & brand of pavers, what we need to do to get the proper grade & drainage, how many steps we may or may not need, ect. For transparency, our "cheapest" patio we've done was around $4,500 at 250sqft.

  • How long does it take to build a patio?
  • Depending on size and scope of the project, a simple patio shoudn't take more than a couple days. You can expect us to be working from sun up to sun down in most scenarios.

  • How far our are you typically scheduled?
  • We try to only keep a running schedule out a month or so, but this gives us time to decide exactly what design, plants, ect and get both parties on the same page.

  • Do you require a deposit?
  • For smaller jobs, not always. Mid-Larger jobs ($5k+) we will and usually only enough to buy some of the materials for the project. We've all heard of the contractor that gets a deposit and runs. Truth is, I'd rather lose money and build something awesome than take advantage of anyone.

  • Do I need a design to work with you?
  • Again, not necessarily. We will almost always include some sort of sketch or design with most projects. Entire living spaces we most definetly will want a design. This will include plants, brands, styles, and everything else so there's no confusion.

  • Are you the cheapest in the area?
  • Nope, but you can expect perfection in every aspect of the build.

  • Do we need to have utilites marked?
  • Yes! Always. We will take care of this before we start anything.

  • Do I need to get HOA Approval?
  • Depends on the HOA, but usually. You can show them our designs to get approval.

  • Do you offer financing?
  • This is something we're working on. If interested we can definetly have a conversation. We'll be partnering with Hearth to do this easier in the future.

  • Are you insured?
  • Of course, a million dollars in liabilty on residental, two million on commercial, plus workers comp and commercial vehicle insurnace. There's nothing you have to worry about while we're on your property.
